Are there days that you feel like you are a Juggler? With so many of us still home doing their job, homemaking and family, there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day. What’s that you say, take time for yourself, please!
Well I want to be totally honest, I played hooky yesterday. Yes, that’s right and I’m not ashamed to talk about it. I turned on HULA and started binge watching a series, junk food and sweatpants. Let me tell you, I did not even give it a thought. Then I took a nice long hot bubble bath and off to bed I went. It felt wonderful…Awwhhhh….
Today I woke up refreshed, energetic and said to the Universe,
“Bring It”! I’m ready.
So I thought I would share some ways of doing Self Care “On the Fly”. Sometimes we have a tendency to put way too much thought into something and by the time we’re done it is a chore and not an enjoyment. I hope my Self-Care “On The Fly” list will be helpful to you like it was for me.
It is not an indulgence or selfish to engage in an act of self-care. Our Body, Mind and Spirit need regeneration and replenishment. These little breaks allow us to feel and be our best. Has it been so long since you gave yourself permission to have some self-care time….
I have some time-wise suggestions below. It is like my Daily, Weekly or Monthly Self-Care Planner..
Calming Self-Care Ideas
- Step Outside take a deep breath
- Taking a bath
- Give your self a Facial (make your own mask)
- Moisturizing your body
- Talk a 10 min. Walk
- Turn off your phone
- Binge Watch your Favorite shows (alone or with family)
Motivating Self Awareness
- Plant a Garden
- Tend to your Garden
- Organizing your space
- Clean Out the Junk Drawer
- Decorate an area in your home (not a whole room-just an Area)
- Playing board games or card games
- Video chat with loved ones
- Call a Friend
- Play with your fur baby (if you have one)
- Writing a letter
- Make homemade body scrub, bath bombs, soaps etc.
See that wasn’t t so bad of a list, was it? If I’ve left anything out, that’s important to you, just add it to the list. The important thing is; take time for You!. It all starts with You!
