Now that we have a Clean Slate/Room. Let’s lay what we call the “Foundation” of the Room. You could also call it the “Vibe” you want.
We each have an our color palette; from our wardrobe to our walls in any given room. Choose what makes you happy, calm or exhilarated. It is the tone that you are trying to set for YOUR Bedroom. The color of your walls and accents can make a huge difference in the overall feel of a room, so when it comes to decorating on a budget, consider sprucing up with paint. Painting is one of the most cost-effective ways to transform any space – and it’s easy too!
These are the colors I chose for my Bedroom Refresh.
I am not very fond of painting myself and maybe you just might be the same. For me painting is super tedious, and I am not very patient. Keep in mind that you need to cover up and protect your stuff (flooring including), use painter’s tape, get all the nooks and crannies, and so on. Then “watch the paint dry”. So, if you’re full-on and just lack the patience (like me) for this project because you might need multiple coats, and that could take tens of hours), then consider hiring a interior painting contractor this is always an option, it has been for me. I have hired out this job in the past and it saved my sanity. But if you have the time and the patience, and you’re willing to do whatever it is that needs to be done, then by all means, you can totally just DIY it!
Choose colors that will evoke feelings of comfort and relaxation, like blues or greens. If you don’t want to commit to painting an entire wall or room, consider investing in some paint samples instead, then use these samples as accent pieces in your bedroom, such as by painting an old side table or dresser.
You can choose the perfect color palette for your space with bold hues or calming neutrals. Mixing textures is also key for making any room look more cozy and inviting. Think of adding different cushions, carpets or throws – all these elements will help bring personality into your room while elevating its style. Don’t forget about using natural elements such as plants and flowers which will add freshness and life into it too!
Redecorating your bedroom can be a fun and exciting project! Here are some tips to help you get started.

Layer lighting: A well-lit bedroom is key to creating a comfortable and relaxing space. Consider layering different types of lighting, such as overhead lights, table lamps, and floor lamps, to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Add personal touches: Finally, don’t forget to add personal touches to your bedroom decor. Hang up photos, display artwork, or add other decor items that have special meaning to you.
Shop secondhand. Check out thrift stores, garage sales, or online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for affordable furniture and decor options.
DIY decor: If you have a creative streak, consider making your own decor items like throw pillows, wall art, or curtains. Pillow covers are a quick way to change decor for the Seasons and are very inexpensive. There are plenty of tutorials online to help you get started. Determine which items are most important to your redesign and prioritize those. For example, if you really want a new rug, allocate more of your budget towards that item and find ways to save on other items.
