Is it one of those weeks that between family and work responsibilities, you think you are “losing your mind”? Have you had a day or a week like that? I have this week I’ve had several meltdowns, but that’s what friends are for, they talk to you down from the ledge.😊
With that being said, it can be easy to forget to take some time out of the week (or day) for ourselves.
I love having my arsenal of at-home Spa Day Recipes close at hand. After the week I had I didn’t just walk over and get them I ran, did you hear me I RAN to get these recipes. LOL
Some days saying that this is a stressful time is an understatement. It is stressful both in mind and body.
So today I thought I would share some things I have learned that have helped me and if you try them I guarantee you that it will give you some inner peace. I have covered ALL bases and then some… Some are really really GOOD! You be the Judge…let me know what was Your FAVORITE!
When stress strikes, self-care takes a backseat…. during any stressful period in our lives, we tend to focus on all the things going on around us.
Taking the time to dote on ourselves is more important than ever. I know what you’re thinking, it’s just another added thing to my list. But believe me this is one you want to put on your list. This will help with mental clarity and more importantly your sanity. At times, I believe has left the building.LOL. I know mine has …… I thought I would put together a few things that have helped me and I know can help you slow the pace down.
This takes practice and don’t be discouraged if your attention span is short. We’re trying to train ourselves to slow down. However long you can hold these thoughts, counts.

This sounds easy but I know at times it is hard to do. I speak from experience, you can do it sitting in a chair, on the floor or even while soaking in the tub. Ahhhhh. Now close your eyes.
Let your mind go blank. This one is a hard one, but you can do it! Even if you can only do this for 5 minutes today and increase it as you continue to practice. Practice! Practice!
This next part ends up being the best part and the most relaxing. Trust me….
If you’re not comfortable with a cocktail based body scrub, I have just the thing for you. How about a Cookie Scrub? Also, you don’t even have to make it it’s already made. It smells so yummy.
Create a spa-like atmosphere at home by lighting candles or incense and drawing a bubble bath with relaxing essential oils. Sip on a margarita for added indulgence while enjoying your bath. Self-care is important for overall well-being, and an at-home spa day will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on life.
Treating yourself to a Margarita Bath and sip a delicious drink as you unwind, you will forget that you are at home. You don’t need to spend a fortune to relax, just create a chill atmosphere at home. Spoil yourself .. you are so worth it!
Did you know they made very cute plastic piña colada glasses?
In case you don’t trust yourself with actual glass. I don’t suggest that drinking and water and glass. I just don’t see it being very SAFE.
Here is another body scrub. I thought I would share, mainly because I just liked the name when I first saw it, but it is amazing. It intrigued me so I bought it. MOTHER OF DRAGONS .

Keep it on the refrigerator door next to your bed wherever you need it as a Reminder… to take care of yourself….. YOU ARE AMAZING.
1). Print it out on Stock Paper (you can do this at Office Max or at Home).
2). Have it Laminated or put in a Sheet Protecter with an Erasable Pen to “tick” off all of your Wonderful Accomplishments…
