Spaghetti Aglio is a traditional Italian pasta dish from Naples.

This is as easy as it gets in less than 30 minutes dinner for 2. Just using a handful ingredients that you probably have on hand!

It is packed with so much flavor, and it is amazingly garlicky without being too overpowering.

It is a big bowl of comfort food that is so simple and quick to prepare.

Spaghetti Aglio E Olio

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup arugula julienned
  • 8 oz spaghetti 1/2 box
  • 1 tbsp salt kosher

Cooking Spaghetti

  • 1 small pot
  • 1 half water you want a water to be starchy
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions
 

Directions

  • Sauté garlic cloves on medium heat. Till edges turn light brown. Don’t overcook.
  • Add red pepper flakes
  • Remove from heat
  • Add cooked pasta
  • Add 1 ladle of the pasta water
  • Toss well
  • Add arugula and toss again
  • Add a fistful of either Pecorino or Parmesan Cheese
  • Serve warm
