Hey there my Friend! Are you as excited to have the cozy fall days and nights, as I am?
I feel all cozy and content about fall…I get why the bears hibernate, they feel the same. LOL. Some of my all time favorites is the crisp air, the vibrant foliage, and of course, the irresistible aroma of pumpkin spice.
As we are all preparing to welcome this delightful time of the year, I can’t help but think about how our homes can reflect that same warmth and charm of autumn.
Today, I want to share a handful of simple and heartwarming ideas to refresh your entryway. Think of it as inviting a bit of fall’s enchantment right into your home, making sure that every time you step through the door, you’re embraced by the spirit, aromas and warm colors of the season. So, grab a cup of your favorite warm beverage (I have my nice hot cup of cocoa) and lets get cozy, and sprinkle a touch of fall magic onto your doorstep! 🍁✨
Nothing says welcome more than some of your favorite decor in your entryway/foyer.
It is the first part of the home as well as the last that your Guest see. So it is so important to keep it clutter free and refreshed.
Your entryway sets the tone for the whole house and should tie in with the rest of your decor, if possible.
Rule of Thumb: “less is best”. It can seem difficult to decorate a space that sees so much traffic and also keep it clutter free but that is far from the truth.
Myself sometimes I have a tendency to throw things on the chair with full intentions of putting it away and time slips by and now one item is four. Is this your struggle as well, great we have some really easy ways to stay organized and have a stylish entryway at the same time.
Where Do I Begin?
Getting started on your entryway decorating or redecorating is an exciting as well as a little overwhelming endeavor at first thought. Believe me I felt the same. Take a moment to envision the kind of vibe you’d like to create in your entryway. Do you want it to feel cozy and rustic, or perhaps sleek and modern? Consider your personal style and the overall theme of your home to ensure a cohesive look from the outside to the inside. Take your time and make a plan and put it down on paper. Use a “pencil” … you will be using the eraser a lot. That’s okay… Let’s Go…..
Simple Checklist
1. Go through area/room: declutter and tidy. This is a good opportunity to purge
2. Clean and dust.
3. Replace any burned out ceiling and lamp lightbulbs.
4. Pick up and put away: clothes and excess items that may be lurking about.
5. Wash any mirrors in your Entryway.
6. Clean out your front closet (if you are fortunate to have one) and purge!
Welcoming Wreaths and Doormats
Start by hanging a vibrant fall-themed wreath on your front door. Combine it with a coordinating doormat. Choose warm tones like deep reds, oranges, or yellows. These elements instantly make your entryway feel inviting and in tune with the fall season.
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
Incorporate small pumpkins and gourds around your entryway. You can arrange them on your steps, in baskets, or even create a mini pumpkin display. The warm hues and rustic textures bring a cozy autumn vibe to your home.
Soft Lighting For Cozy Ambiance
As the days get shorter, consider adding soft lighting to your entryway. Fairy lights, lanterns, or even battery-operated candles can create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It not only looks beautiful but also provides a welcoming glow for you and your guests.
Fall Themed Accents
Swap out your everyday decor items for fall-themed ones. Consider adding decorative acorns, pinecones, or faux fall leaves to your usual displays. These small touches make a big difference and add a touch of nature to your entryway.
Warm Fall Beverage Station
Imagine being greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or hot apple cider as you enter your home. Create a small beverage station near your entryway with a thermos of your favorite fall drink, along with some mugs. It’s a thoughtful gesture that makes everyone feel instantly at home.
You could also use an atomizer with the aromas of fall, cinnamon, vanilla, orange, pumpkin, and the aroma list goes on and on. Object is to be creative and use watch. Shoot your smell.
Add A Table or Bench
Place either against the wall.(If room allows)
If your Budget allows a Table you can purchase many $100-$200 Table (depending on features). Another great place to Shop (my Favorite) is your Local FB Marketplace. If you have never tried it go on and just check it out. You won’t be sorry….
There are alternatives to a Console Table.
You could add a bench, if room allows. If you are using a bench or even a chair- add beautiful pillows. (Doesn’t have to be NEW just inexpensive pillow covers).
Tips

Above the Table add a mirror or piece of artwork.
