Declutter Your Space (s)
Start by decluttering your home to make way for fresh spring decor. When it comes to decluttering, I’ve learned a thing or two on my own journey. First off, I always start small, tackling one area at a time to avoid overwhelm. Then, I ask myself the golden question: “Does this spark joy?” If not, it’s time to bid it farewell. I’m all about donating or recycling items whenever possible, giving them a chance to bring joy to someone else’s life. And you know what? Sharing these decluttering adventures with you all makes the process even more rewarding. Together, we’re creating space for the things that truly matter in our lives.
Bring Spring in with Fresh Flowers
Incorporate spring blooms like tulips or daffodils to add color and freshness to your space. Look around the house for a pretty vase of pot that you truly love. If you can’t find one there are so many vasesvases and pots online at very affordable prices and this is an investment that is one time only.
While adding a touch of Spring with fresh flowers can brighten up any space, if they’re not your thing or you might be allergic, don’t worry! You can still bring a touch of spring indoors by incorporating other natural elements like potted plants, leafy branches, or even faux florals. My Gosh, I have seen some realistic and beautiful Tulips and they are so inexpensive. They are in my cart as we speak. I can’t wait to get them….pictures to follow. Other alternative to consider is arranging a vase of vibrant greenery or opting for botanical prints in your decor. The goal is to infuse your home with the spirit of spring in a way that suits your personal style and preferences.
Switch Out Your Winter Decor
Pack away heavy winter throws and dark-colored accents, and replace them with lighter, brighter pieces. Are you like me, I have a hard time with certain pieces that I love looking at and I do have to admit I still incorporate them into my Spring Refresh. I use ones that don’t scream Christmas, light objects with interest. You can do the same, if you are also absolutely in love with a few objects. Go for it! Remember, your home is your style and taste not always what we see in magazines or Pinterest.
Clean and Refresh Furniture
Give your furniture a deep clean and consider adding slipcovers or new cushions for a springtime update.
When it’s time to freshen up my furniture for spring, I dive into what I like to call a “spa day” for my couch and chairs. I start by giving them a thorough cleaning, using a gentle upholstery cleaner and a soft brush to banish any dirt or stains. Then, to really amp up the spring vibes, I love swapping out the old cushions for bright, cheerful ones in lighter fabrics or fun patterns. If I’m feeling extra fancy, I’ll even toss on some slipcovers for an instant refresh without breaking the bank. Trust me, a little TLC for your furniture goes a long way in giving your space that cozy, springtime feel.
Embrace Lighter Fabrics
When it’s time to refresh my space with lighter fabrics and pillows, I like to think of it as giving my home a breath of fresh air. I start by swapping out heavy curtains for sheer ones, allowing that beautiful spring sunlight to filter in. As for pillows, I love to play with different textures and colors, opting for soft cotton or linen covers in pastel shades to add a touch of seasonal charm. It’s amazing how such simple changes can instantly lift the mood and make my home feel lighter and brighter for the season ahead.
The best part is the pillows because these covers are so inexpensive, I can do as so many styles. I am always falling in LOVE with the newest covers, that I just must have….you too?

Declutter and Organize
Friends… When it comes to declutter and organizing, I’ve learned a thing or two on my own journey. Trust me, a sparkling clean patio sets the stage for all those alfresco gatherings and backyard BBQs you’ve been dreaming about.
Incorporate Pastel Accents
Add touches of pastel colors throughout your home to evoke a springtime vibe. Think of pastel colors as nature’s gentle whispers, bringing the soft, airy feeling of spring indoors. You can sprinkle these delightful hues throughout your home like confetti! Picture pastel pink throw pillows adorning your sofa, a pale blue vase gracing your tabletop, or even a mint green throw blanket draped over your armchair. These subtle pops of color instantly infuse your space with the fresh, rejuvenating spirit of spring. Don’t be afraid to mix and match pastels to create your own unique palette—after all, spring is all about embracing the beauty of new beginnings!
Create a Seasonal Centerpiece or Door Wreath
Let’s add a touch of seasonal charm to your home with a beautiful centerpiece or door wreath! It’s a fun and easy DIY project that instantly brightens up any space.
Preparation:
Start by gathering some natural elements like fresh or faux flowers, greenery, and a wreath base. Next, arrange your chosen elements into a pleasing design.
DIY Door Wreath
Simply attach your greenery and flowers to a wire wreath frame, these are very inexpensive.
Using floral wire or a hot glue gun (also very inexpensive).
DIY Centerpiece
If you prefer a centerpiece, opt for a shallow dish or basket and arrange your elements inside. At Christmas I have a round wooden bowl that put a small faux candle ring in side and inside the ring I place a pretty colored great smelling candle.
Don’t forget to add a personal touch—a cute ribbon or a decorative accent can really tie the whole look together. And voila!
You’ve created a stunning centerpiece or door wreath that welcomes the season with style.
RULE OF DESIGN: Less is More
Refresh Bedding and Linens
Ah, there’s nothing quite like slipping into a bed dressed in fresh, crisp linens after a long day, especially as we welcome the brighter days of spring! I try to keep the Hotel vibe going and I also have to have Lavender.
WHY LAVENDER YOU ASK?
Lavender helps with relaxation and balance. Meaning you are more focused on the moment.
It can be my Lavender Linen SprayLavender Linen Spray, or my new addition is the aromatherapy diffuser. It is so wonderful. I have one in every room; it just makes me so happy. If you have not tried either of these my friend, I encourage to look into it. It is very inexpensive. It is also a great addition to refreshing your bedding and linens. Start by giving everything a good wash—there’s something so satisfying about climbing into clean sheets, don’t you think? Then, consider adding a touch of seasonal flair by incorporating light and airy textures. Picture a soft, pastel-colored throw draped at the foot of your bed or a floral-patterned duvet cover to bring a hint of spring indoors.
HERE’S A FUN TIP:
Layer different textures, like a cozy knit blanket over smooth cotton sheets, adds depth and visual interest to your bedding ensemble. So go ahead, indulge in a little springtime pampering for your bed—it’s the perfect way to welcome the season!
Add Natural Elements
Let me share a bit about how I bring the soothing essence of nature into my own space. I’m all about embracing natural fibers and textures like woven baskets and soft, cozy throws – they add such a sense of warmth and tranquility to my home. And don’t get me started on wooden accents and pottery! There’s something about their rustic charm that instantly makes a room feel grounded and inviting. Oh, and let’s not forget about the magical ambiance created by nature-inspired lighting. I adore the soft glow of rattan pendant lamps and bamboo floor lamps – it’s like bringing a little piece of the outdoors inside. But my favorite trick? A straw basket overflowing with faux cherry blossoms or forsythia. It’s the perfect way to welcome springtime’s vibrant energy into any room. So, if you’re looking to infuse your space with the comforting embrace of nature, these are my go-to elements for creating a cozy retreat right at home
